MAUNDY THURSDAY, april 1 | 6:30pm, st. George’s Church
On Maundy Thursday, we remember the mandatum, or the new commandment, given by our Lord to his disciples after he washed their feet: “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet… A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:14, 34-35).

GOOD FRIDAY, april 2 | 6:30pm, st. George’s Church
This year’s Good Friday service will feature “The Seven Last Words of Christ” by Joseph Haydn, a musical journey through Christ’s final moments on the cross. We’ll gather in a dimly lit church, the sanctuary stark and stripped bare, and contemplate the mystery of God incarnate, sacrificed for those he created and loves. Each musical selection will be followed by a brief homily given by seven different dynamic speakers.
For the children of the parish, we’ll feature “Good Friday for Kids” at 6:15pm. This livestreamed service, designed specifically for our younger members, will engage some of the hard questions around the cross of Christ and let us know why good friday is so good. Watch it online at the locations below.
Reservations are required, they will be open here on Monday March 22nd. This service will be livestreamed on calvarystgeorges.org and facebook.com/calstgnyc
